1996 Nashbar 'Flashback' Cruiser (16" frame size)

• Bought new in 1996, sat in a box for 21 years, then built in 2017 as a mountain bike (my former "alumiboingy")
• Rebuilt in 2022 after Boingy Green took over the job as my primary mountain bike
• This is the lighter and faster sibling to the Alumicruiser, built for speed instead of capacity, but always with style
• Cantilever-style cruiser frame, in swoopy oversize aluminum tubing
• Bullhorn bars with road brifters for aerodynamics and comfort
• 1 x 9 drivetrain: 36 chainring and either an 11-26 or 11-36 cassette depending on the expected terrain
  • Offers simple shifting and a very useful range of gears for either small hills or tall mountains
• Cushy saddle for speed with a bit of luxury
• Lots of water bottle holders (including in the rear) for those long treks across the deserts or mountains
